Arden Cho's Italian Wedding Weekend filled with Korean Traditions

Behind the Frame

Arden & Chris

Star of KPop Demon Hunters, Arden Cho, and her husband Chris hosted their destination wedding weekend in Florence, Italy at the historic Villa Cora. Festivities kicked off with a hanbok meets Bridgerton welcome party, followed by a romantic old world wedding celebration, and culminating with an all white recovery brunch by the pool.

From the combination of environmental portraits with the villa's ornate architecture to the intimate and romantic portraiture and editorially styled details mixed with documentary candids, the photographs layer together to create a portfolio that captures both the essence of the couple and of the ephemeral spirit created at their wedding weekend.

The Wedding Day

Arden and Chris celebrated their wedding surrounded by their closest family and friends. Their day beautifully blended timeless Italian elegance with meaningful touches that honored their Korean heritage and their story as a couple.

The bride wore three couture gowns, beginning with an Italian lace Vera Wang for the garden ceremony, a modern corseted Eden Aharon for the glass house tented reception, and a sparkly short Natalya Valentine for the after party.

Arden surprised Chris with a heartfelt serenade before the evening transformed into an unforgettable after-party complete with karaoke, dancing, and a late-night ramen station.

Rehearsal Dinner

The rehearsal dinner took place in Villa Cora's grand mirrored and gold plated ballroom and guests were invited to wear traditional Korean Hanbok's or their best Bridgerton-chic wear.

The couple held a traditional Korean pyebaek ceremony, during which they honored the groom's parents and received blessings for their marriage. The ceremony includes a tea ceremony, tossing of jujubes and chestnuts for the couple to catch, representing prosperity and future children, and culminates with the groom giving the bride and his mother a piggy back ride.

Recovery Brunch

The couple hosted a relaxed recovery day-after brunch party for their friends and family with detox juices, wood-oven pizzas, aperitifs, and jazz for an afternoon of slow goodbyes.

The bride wore two custom pleated Vivianchan outfits custom made for the occasion and all the guests joined in the fun by wearing all white, which was perfect for the heatwave that had taken over Europe that weekend.
