A Classic Fairytale Wedding at a Los Angeles Landmark

Behind the Frame

Catherine & JT

Catherine and JT were married at the historic Huntington Gardens and Library in Los Angeles in a classically stunning affair. The bride and groom's families both have deep ties to the city of LA and welcomed their guests to celebrate with them in their hometown of Pasadena.

From the combination of environmental portraits in the beautifully manicured rose garden to the sprawling landscapes of the reception on the museum's veranda and intimate fly-on the wall candids, the photographs layer together to create a portfolio that captures both the spirit of the couple and of the ephemeral spirit created at their wedding.

The Wedding Day

Catherine and JT drew inspiration from their venues beautiful grounds and paintings, creating a unique floral chinoiserie watercolor painting that was used throughout the design.

The couple said their I Do's on the Huntington's grand lawn, made famous by the movie, The Wedding Planner. The brides gown featured rosettes as a nod to the gardens, and her bridesmaids silvery draped gowns in varied silhouettes evoked the Greek statues that line the lawn.

Guests enjoyed cocktail hour in the rose garden before making their way through the museum and out onto the back veranda to enjoy an evening of dinner and dancing.

The Rehearsal Dinner

Catherine and JT held their rehearsal dinner at the exclusive private social club, The California Club, in downtown Los Angeles.

Guests enjoyed dinner in the club's stately wood-paneled dining room, which they filled with giant peonies and guests dined on classic cream Ginori plates. After dinner, guests were welcomed upstairs to the rooftop for a welcome reception under market lights with Los Angeles' towering skyscrapers serving as the perfect backdrop.
