Italian Wedding
on the Amalfi Coast

Behind the Frame

Sarah & Nick

Sarah and Nick threw a week-long intimate wedding bash spanning the Amalfi Coast with stops in Positano, Capri, and Ravello. Celebrations began with a stay at Le Sirenuse in Positano and a kick off celebration on a private boat. The following day guests were whisked away for a day of exploration on Capri and lunch at Da Paolino.

The festivities continued with a transfer to Ravello and a welcome party at Palazzo Avino followed by a rehearsal dinner the following evening at the Belmond Hotel Caruso before the grand finale wedding celebration at Villa Cimbrone.

From the landscapes and vignettes around the Amalfi Coast to the intentional selection of each portrait location and styled still life, the photographs layer together to create a portfolio that captures both the spirit of the couple and of the ephemeral feeling created at each of their events.

The Wedding Day

Sarah and Nick’s wedding day was a true celebration of the best of Ravello with stops at the Belmond Hotel Caruso, Palazzo Avino, and Villa Cimbrone. Their families gathered outside Caruso to greet the couple and then walked together through town, led by a band of musicians, to Villa Cimbrone. The ceremony was held at sunset on the iconic infinity terrace followed by dinner in the vaulted arches of the crypt, decked out for the occasion with hundreds of garden roses hanging from the ceiling. After dinner the bride changed into a short pink feathered dress to dance the night away on their printed dancefloor, perfectly coordinated to their wedding invitation.

“Looking at the love of your life is an indescribable feeling. Words can’t begin to express it. But Rebecca’s photos can. Our photos bring me back to the best week of my life again and again.”

Positano Arrival

Celebrations kicked off with a stay at the iconic Le Sirenuse hotel in Positano where guests enjoyed a few days of exploration and relaxation. Guests were transported in style via speed boats to a day of shopping and exploration in Capri with a lemon-themed lunch at the iconic Da Paolino restaurant. The week-long celebration formally commenced with a pink-moon themed boat party in honor of the couple's love for the moon cycles and a nod to the groom’s family heritage of four generations of farmers. They partied the night away while Positano twinkled in the background and capped off the evening with a fireworks display.

The Welcome Dinner

After three days in Positano, guests transferred to the ancient mountain town of Ravello to continue the celebrations with a hummingbird-themed dinner at the iconic pink Palazzo Avino.

Guests joined the couple at a living-table covered in moss with hundreds upon hundreds of flowers growing from the table’s surface. Hummingbirds adorned each place setting in honor of the bride’s late grandmother and the bride wore a light pink feather dress to match the evening's theme.

Rehearsal Dinner

Festivities continued with a rehearsal dinner at the Belmond Hotel Caruso in Ravello with a melon-theme in honor of the groom’s family farm, featuring watermelon menus and cantaloupe cocktails.

The dinner was originally planned to be outside under a canopy of olive trees, but with a swiftly moving storm, it was moved inside for an evening of dinner and dancing with a traditional Italian band.

After dinner, the rain stopped and guests made their way upstairs for a midnight martini and gelato party by the pool.
